Congrats to the new APBA President and VP Elect

Now that my tenure as APBA President is ending, I am happy to welcome a new leadership team. You, the members, have voted, and we have a new Board and Council. The BOD met on Oct. 4th, 2011 and selected Mark Wheeler as the new APBA President, and Kristi Ellison as the new VP. Having worked closely with both of them over the past four years and more, I know APBA is in good hands. We have an excellent mix of experience and innovation between the Board and Council.

J.W. Myers finshes 7th in San Diego

Despite struggling throughout the weekend, J.W. Myers and the Peters & May racing team made their first ever final heat appearance Sunday. Myers won the provisional heat and gained the automatic qualifier spot to become the trailer in the championship heat. The trailer boat has to start five seconds behind the field and Myers was unable to make up the distance and settled for a seventh place finish. \"For our team to overcome so many obstacles through the weekend,\" said driver J.W. The Air Guard H1 Unlimited Series returns to San Diego, California for the penultimate race of the 2011 season. The Air Guard Championship will take place on San Diego\'s Mission Bay on a 2.5 mile oval course. Following a successful exhibition in Sacramento last week, J.W. Sacramento Exhibition showcases series to new fans

Four hydroplanes from the Air Guard H1 Unlimited Series preformed multiple exhibition runs on Folsom Lake Thursday to promote a possible race in Sacramento next spring. Several community leaders and race fans gathered for the three hour demonstration; which included three exhibition runs.
