Despite struggling throughout the weekend, J.W. Myers and the Peters & May racing team made their first ever final heat appearance Sunday. Myers won the provisional heat and gained the automatic qualifier spot to become the trailer in the championship heat. The trailer boat has to start five seconds behind the field and Myers was unable to make up the distance and settled for a seventh place finish.
