Two racers were killed Wednesday during the first of three race days of the Key West World Championships.
Owner/throttleman Robert M. Morgan of Sunrise Beach, MO, and driver Jeffrey Tillman of Kaiser, MO, died after their 46' Skater Big Thunder Marine kited over and landed on its canopy. Rescue personnel jumped from a helicopter mere moments after the accident and worked quickly to extract them from the catamaran before a medical boat rushed them to shore. The men were then transported via ambulance to Lower Keys Medical Center,
