CELINA - The power boats will be back in competition on Grand Lake St. Marys this year after all.
The 2013 Governor's Cup Regatta, which was canceled just over a week ago due to lack of sponsorships, now is back on the summer schedule.
A broadcast report stated that the Lake Improvement Association donated $20,000 and another $19,000 came in from local organizations and businesses.
"We are so happy that the LIA and the whole community came together this past week to help the Governor's Cup Regatta to continue with our race this year. The financial support and just, support all over, was just fantastic," reported regatta co-chairman Myron Buxton.
