Despite a failing battery during the last heat, Formula 2 driver Chris Fairchild claimed a tunnel boat world championship for the second straight year at PNC's Roar on the River in Trenton.
"It feels good to come back and do it all over again," Fairchild said. "The people of Trenton make this place so lovely to visit. It's awesome to get welcomed back year after year, and I can't thank them enough for it."
On Fairchild's last heat, he finished sixth due to a failed battery in the boat. Fortunately for him, points are totaled from three out of four heats. Fairchild's last lap didn't affect his lead.
