Regatta to host Polish racer

LOCK HAVEN - The main attraction for many during the Lock Haven Area Jaycees Labor Day Regatta are, of course, the races with boats from the American Power Boat Association.

Lock Haven's regatta continues to be the largest one of its kind on the East Coast, and second in the United States only to the Nationals which rotates venues each year.

The 43rd annual regatta will open Saturday and run through Monday, offering live music, food, rides, arts and crafts on East Water Street, with more vendors and the Budweiser Beer Tent set up on the Lockport side of the river.

And, this year, Lock Haven is pleased to be the host of the first drivers from Poland on U.S. soil for a racing event.
