La PORTE - In anticipation of the weekend's races, people were already flocking to Stone Lake on Friday afternoon to watch powerboats make test drive laps around the course.
The Maple City Grand Prix is attracting locals and tourists this weekend for the powerboat tour and race.
F1 and F Lights have been zooming through the water. Spectators were in awe as the boats ripped across the water at 70 miles per hour. The boats travel so fast it almost looks like they are hovering over the water.
The drivers and their crew have traveled from all over the country, coming from Michigan, Texas and California and even from Canada.
