LOCK HAVEN - It's boat racing time in Lock Haven.
The Delaware Valley Outboard Racing Association and the Lock Haven Area Jaycees will present the Third Annual Lock Haven Area Jaycees June Boat Races and Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
Scott Glossner, president of the Delaware Valley Outboard Racing Association, based in Rumson, N.J, expects the event to draw between 70 and 80 boats from throughout the nation, in the same venue that has made the Jaycees Labor Day Regatta the second-largest race of its kind in the nation.
"We're looking very much forward to this weekend," he said. "We expect upwards of 70 to 100 boats, which would be a nice turnout with numbers down all over racing this year."
