Less than six months after the Miami City Commission approved an initiative to rebuild the iconic Miami Marine Stadium, the National Trust for Historic Preservation is hosting a celebration with a couple of legends who once graced the stadium's dramatic floating stage – Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan.
Held at the Coral Gables Museum on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m., the event will shine a spotlight on the two musical icons as NBC 6 anchor Jackie Nespral interviews them about their memories of the stadium's past, as well as their hopes for its comeback as a world-class sports and performance venue.
