MOREHEAD CITY, N.C.--The Bogue Sound was buzzing big time in Morehead City this weekend. The seventh annual Crystal Coast Grand Prix drew large crowds to the Morehead City Port on Sunday.
The P1 Superstock USA Championship opened up with the "Sound of Freedom Cup." It's a race that honors our nations armed forces.
Robert Head of the United States Air Force took home first place. "I would have to say the closest experience to that much adrenaline would probably be an F15 ride," said Head.
Seven years ago, Carteret County native Jeff McCann decided he wanted to bring his passion to his hometown. After years of racing at other venues, in 2005, that's exactly what he did.
