2003 | Steve Greaves
Greaves has lived and breathed APBA boat racing for 40 years. He began in Stock Outboard but soon became a PRO racer through and through. Steve won nine National Championships, 24 APBA National High Point Championships and 30 National and World records. He has received the Col. Green Round Hill Trophy and the George Townsend Medal five times; and has been inducted into the APBA Hall of Champions seven times.
Steve was a member of the PRO Commission for 10 years prior to being elected Chairman. He has published the PRO Technical Manual for years and created the PRO website.
Steve also served on the APBA Board of Directors, and on the Junior Classes Committee. A member of the Seattle Outboard Association for 40 years, he has served on the SOA Board for over 15 years; treasurer; and newsletter editor. He has been Chief Inspector at most Northwest record races, as well as helping in inspection at the PRO Nationals.
Steve has loaned equipment, mentored many and represents the best in this sport.
