In one of the closest seasons in H1 history, U-5 Graham Trucking driver Jimmy Shane and U-6 Oh Boy! Oberto driver Steve David were neck and neck all season long. In the end, it was Shane who would come out ahead and earn his first Unlimited induction into the APBA Hall of Champions and his fourth induction overall.
