Total Tow/Prize Fund: $15,000.00 USD.
- Should a class(es) not have a legal field of three (3) registered boats by the end of Registration Saturday morning, the class will not be eligible for Prize fund payout. This does not include step-ups.
~Prize Fund will be paid to top 3 positions of Sunday\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s final heat.
~Tow/Prize Fund is for T, Y, S, E, A, NMH, and GNH classes and does NOT apply to GP class, which has separate Agreement with Club.
- Club will mail Prize/Tow Fund payouts to the 2022 APBA registered owners of all eligible boats no later than September 30, 2022
Tow Fund will be calculated and paid on a prorata basis of the distance from the boat owners registered address zip code to the Owensboro, Kentucky zip code of 42301. Accordingly, those who travel further will be paid more.

There will be NO registration after 8:30 am CDT on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

All boats must be registered in the name of the 2022 APBA Registered Owner.

- Paid on-site: $250 USD.

- Boat Step-up Registration Paid in advance: $100 USD.
- Paid on-site: $120 USD.
Step-ups WILL pay a fee.

Your Registration/Payment must be RECEIVED by Friday, August 12, 2022 at 5:00 pm CDT to qualify for the lower fee.

CAPSULE CERTIFICATION TESTING:

If you need a Dunk Test, you must email American Hydroplane Rescue Director Mr. Larry Krack at larrykrack@gmail.com, no later than August 5th, 2022 to reserve your spot. There will be NO walkups!

COVID-19 Statement:
According to Kentucky and Owensboro/Daviess County Departments of Health, there are NO requirements for masks and social distancing, and NO restrictions on crowd size for this event, as of the filing of this APBA Sanction.

We will make any necessary changes as directed by the Departments of Health and other entities, when and if they occur.

American Hydroplane Events encourages all spectators, race team personnel, workers, officials and volunteers to practice social distancing and good personal hygiene during this event.

• Final field based on qualification points.
• Quickest elapsed times will be used to resolve any ties in points to determine the final field.
• Counts as 2 days of racing toward APBA national points championship.

All boats must be in the water and ready to race at the scheduled times.
Should the number of entries and time permit, two qualifying heats may be held.

PLEASE NOTE:
Should any heat(-s) have fewer than three (3) boats able to race, The Race Director and Referee have the option of not running that heat(-s).

**RV/Motorhome parking will be available for Race Teams and APBA Inboard Officials with prior authorization. Send your request with boat number and length of RV/Motorhome via email to Randy Lientz at: rlientz@axiomad.com. You will receive a City of Owensboro Parking Permit for your front window at Registration. There is no electricity or water service at the RV/Motorhome parking lot. It is paved and level, and less than 50 yards to the Pit entrance. The parking lot is located at English Park, Hanning Lane at Lock Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42303 USA. Look for signs indicating RV/Motorhome parking.

**Golf Carts and Scooters for Race Teams and APBA Officials are allowed in the Pits with prior authorization. You must provide your own Golf Cart and Scooter. Send your request with boat number via email to Randy Lientz at: rlientz@axiomad.com. You will receive a City of Owensboro Permit for your windshield at Registration.

- The Judges Stand is located on the 3rd level of the Owensboro Convention Center, 501 W 2nd St, Owensboro, KY 42301, which is less than one mile from the Pits, via a 2-lane residential City street. There is an elevator to the Judges Stand for your convenience.

- The Radio Corral is located at the East end of the Pits (upriver) on a large raised concrete platform which overlooks the Ohio River racecourse. There will be a large tent for shade, and the area will be for only Team Spotters.

For the convenience of Race Teams and APBA Officials, American Hydroplane Events personnel will run 2 continuous shuttle vehicles between the Convention Center and the Pits on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm CDT. Pickup/dropoff will be at the west end (downriver) of the Pits and the front of the Convention Center.

**Testing will be available on Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm CDT. The period from 4:30 to 5:00 pm CDT will be for the exclusive use of the Grand Prix class. All boats who want to test must be registered and safety inspected before testing.

**Once a boat is placed in the pits, it can EXIT ONLY at the conclusion of all racing on Sunday afternoon.
Any boat(-s) that wants to exit the pits before the conclusion of all racing on Sunday afternoon must inform the Scorer, Ann Shaw AND obtain the approval of Race Director, Randy Lientz. Any boat(-s) that exits the pits without this approval will not be paid Tow/Show funds.

**All boats that destroy a buoy will pay $200 USD to American Hydroplane Events, LLC for each buoy destroyed.

An exhibition may be performed at this event pursuant to all APBA General Safety Rules provided that proper waivers and membership forms have been completed. All prizes are the responsibility of the conducting Club. APBA does not guarantee nor is it responsible for payment of prizes. You are advised that this event may be canceled prior to the race due to circumstances beyond the control of this association. If you plan to travel a long distance, it is recommended that you contact the race sponsor prior to your departure to ensure this event will take place.
