From DC area, go south on State Rt. 5 to Waldorf. Continue south on Rt. 5 to right on Washington Street in Leonardtown. Follow to Historic Leonardtown Wharf Park.
From the south, head north on State Rt. 301 to right on State Rt. 234. Follow Rt. 234 until it merges with Rt. 5 in Leonardtown then follow above directions to Park.

There is a discounted room block at Holiday Inn Express in California Md. Mention Southern Maryland Boat Club.
There are many other hotels in the California area.

Vintage Outboards. Approximately 1 mile oval course. 2 warmup laps followed by 5 laps at speed. Total distance approx. distance 7 miles.

Pits will be located at the park and open at 9 am July 28 for registration with safety inspections to follow. Registration will also be between 7 and 8 am Saturday morning as well with MANDATORY drivers meeting at 8 am at the officials stand. Please call if you plan on registering on Saturday morning, 301 643 3291

Drivers meeting both Saturday and Sunday, 8 am at the officials stand.

All classes $100. All fees included.

$150 per damaged buoy.
There will be an outside Block Party Friday night with food and drink available plus a free Concert on the Leonardtown Square, across the street, downtown. This event is not sponsored by the club, but please support our friends at The Rex for supporting us, they are very gracious to provide this activity. The club members will be there!
Rayner Blair will again be hosting the annual Celebration Dinner at his home overlooking the Patuxent River on Saturday night at 6. This is an invitation only event, please contact us if you plan on attending. The cost is $35 per person with a variety of main courses, sides and drinks provided. BYOB
No pets in pits.
Hot pit rules will be enforced, no open toe shoes for drivers or crew.

This Regatta is sanctioned through APBA

An exhibition may be performed at this event pursuant to all APBA General Safety Rules provided that proper waivers and membership forms have been completed. All prizes are the responsibility of the conducting Club. APBA does not guarantee nor is it responsible for payment of prizes. You are advised that this event may be canceled prior to the race due to circumstances beyond the control of this association. If you plan to travel a long distance, it is recommended that you contact the race sponsor prior to your departure to ensure this event will take place.
