FROM EAST: I-94 to exit #88 (Michigan Ave.) towards Galesburg. Go 2.2 mi. into town. Take sharp right E Battle Creek St/M-96 for 0.2mi., Turn Left (jog) to stay on E Battle Creek St/M-96 and follow 5.5 mi. to Ft. Custer State Rec. Area Entrance on Right.
FROM WEST: I-94 to exit #85 (35th St./Galesburg-Augusta). Go North 1.1mi on 35th St. Turn Right (East) on M96/Michigan Ave. for 0.6 mi. Make a slight left to stay on M96 towards Augusta (at this point road changes to East Battle Creek St/M96. Follow for 5.5mi to Ft. Custer State Rec. Area Entrance on Right.
Once in Park: Follow signs to Eagle Lake/Beach. Using Google Maps on the internet, type in "eagle lake, augusta, mi" for exact location.

CAMPING: Fort Custer State Recreation Area campground, $21/night (+ $8 registration fee). Elec. hook-ups and modern bath houses. Reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure you have a site. You may want to coordinate with friends to ensure you have campsites next to each other when placing reservations. Please make reservations on-line and bring confirmation with you. Reserve a campsite by going to www.midnrreservations.com/, then click campground reservations, make campground reservation, select Fort Custer State Recreation Area and proceed per instructions.
HOTEL: Candlewood Suites, 3443 Retail Place Dr., Kalamazoo, MI 49048. Phone #: 269-270-3203. 10 Rooms reserved under Michigan Hydroplane Racing Assoc. Studio suite - double bed rooms at $89 per room + 13% taxes.
Room reservation cut-off date is May 20, 2010. Mention "Michigan Hydroplane Racing Assoc." when making reservations. Make your reservation now. There are very few hotels with rooms available this weekend due to sports tournaments in Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area.

3 laps of an approx. 3/4 mile course. NOT approved for records. * * * * * SAFETY/RESCUE: H & H Rescue

Closed Course: Clock Start. * * * * * Marathon: Clock Start.

: The 3 largest classes will run 3 races over 2 days. Additionally, the 1 random SO class and 1 random J Class will be drawn to also run 3 races in 2 days. In the case a tie for 3 largest classes, the tie will be broken so that only 3 classes will run.
: A 20 minute timed SO Marathon will be run each day.
: Closed Course: All SO classes, EXCEPT 45SS * * * * * NO TESTING ON FRIDAY.

JH/JR: Trophies 1st - 3rd for Sat. and Sun. * * * * * All other classes: Awards 1st - 3rd on Saturday only.

Possible Friday evening registration in pits - listen for announcements.
Saturday: 7:30 a.m.- 8:30 a.m. * * * * * Sunday: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

JH, JR: $17 per class, per day * * * * * All SO Classes: $27 per class, per day
Entry Fee includes $2 for Region 6 Top Gun Series. In case of blow-out, $2 will be retained towards Region 6 Top Gun Series.

Vehicles will be required to pay a daily gate fee ($6/day MI residents or $8/day out of state) or buy the seasonal pass ($24 MI / $29 out of state). MI residents recommended to buy the season pass as it can be used at any MI state recreation area.
Catered Picnic Dinner Sat. night (by Lickity Split) in Pavilion; please support. Adults: approx. $10, Children (under 11): approx. $7. * *NO Alcohol allowed in Park. We do have a special use permit for Alcohol in the pavilion area only during the Picnic Dinner Saturday Night. * * Concession stand open during races. This Regatta is sanctioned through APBA

An exhibition may be performed at this event pursuant to all APBA General Safety Rules provided that proper waivers and membership forms have been completed. All prizes are the responsibility of the conducting Club. APBA does not guarantee nor is it responsible for payment of prizes. You are advised that this event may be canceled prior to the race due to circumstances beyond the control of this association. If you plan to travel a long distance, it is recommended that you contact the race sponsor prior to your departure to ensure this event will take place.
