I-75 to Exit 310 - West through light to Witt - Right to Mack - Left to pit area. Pits are located at the Public Beach.

SATURDAY'S COURSE: Approx. 43 miles - LeMans start at pits in Burt Lake running into Burt Lake approx. 1 mile to turn buoy & returning to mouth of Indian River. Race runs entire length of Indian River across Mullett Lake and up full length of Cheboygan River to turnaround in Cheboygan, & returns over same course to finish line at pit area.
* Super Light Tunnel - Run full course each day. Additional distance (up to 12 miles) may be added to course for SLT as safety requirement & necessary to insure no two way traffic in Crooked River.
* J Runabouts - Run abreviated course approx. 10 miles in length.

SUNDAY'S COURSE: Approx. 42 miles - LeMans start at pits in Burt Lake, running across Burt Lake, through Crooked River & across Crooked Lake, back through Crooked River, across Burt Lake, through Indian River to turnaround in Mullett Lake, returning through Indian River to finish line at pits.

ALL CATEGORIES: Minimum of $1,500.00 cash/prorated on number of entries per class. Nationals trophies 5 places per class with 8 boats or more. Medallions awarded for finishing both days of race, but not placing. National Champion in each class - Jacket or year added to currently owned jacket. Other trophies and prizes for special events determined at race. The Top O' Michigan Marathon has consistantly awarded cash prizes in excess of minimum. Last year, in addition to minimum, approx. $5,000.00 was added!!
Awards Banquet will be held at `The Inn Between` in Indian River on Sunday following race completion & inspection.

FRIDAY, 8/19 - 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Registration & Driver's Party at 6:00 p.m. at `The Inn Between` in Indian River. Take I-75 North to Indian River exit 310, turn left to light (old 27), turn right. 3/4 mile on left next to bridge over Indian River. Registration will close at 8:00 p.m. SATURDAY, 8/20 - Pits - 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Saturday & Sunday - In Pits - 10:00 a.m.

* Superlight Tunnel - Overflow pits for oversized trailers will be located in Burt Lake State Park ramp area. A Michigan State Park Sticker (purchased at gate) required for entrance to pits. All participants & crews will be under jurisdiction of Michigan DNR while in State Park. All State Park rules & regulations in effect.

* Parking Stock Pits: Vehicular entry to pit area restricted to dropping off rigs & equipment. Parking must be located out of pit area. Only authorized personnel allowed to retain vehicles in pit area. Pits not open for boats until Friday evening. MOTOR HOMES NOT ALLOWED IN PARKING AREA. * NO DOGS ALLOWED.

* All boats must carry designation on both sides in letters or numbers of contrasting color at least 4 inches in height.
* COURSE TOUR: Drivers unfamiliar with course, pontoon boats available for rental Friday, August 19th. Anyone wishing to tour course contact Wayne Blomberg at Ryde Marine for details in obtaining boat at discount price (231) 347-8273. Do in advance to insure a boat will be available.
* The Race Committee would like to request that drivers display their registered number on the boat they are racing.

Start times, course rules, etc., subject to last minute changes by Race Committee, if weather or factors require, due to nature of course. Race Committee reserves the right to deny race participation to rookie racers with less than 2 races of previous experience. First time partipants at TOP O' MICHIGAN may be required to demonstrate their driving ability to Race Committee, and may be held 3 seconds at start of each race. Local race rules prevail as announced at Driver's Meetings.

This Regatta is sanctioned through APBA

An exhibition may be performed at this event pursuant to all APBA General Safety Rules provided that proper waivers and membership forms have been completed. All prizes are the responsibility of the conducting Club. APBA does not guarantee nor is it responsible for payment of prizes. You are advised that this event may be canceled prior to the race due to circumstances beyond the control of this association. If you plan to travel a long distance, it is recommended that you contact the race sponsor prior to your departure to ensure this event will take place.
