The Offshore Powerboating Association’s National Grand Prix Power Boat Races scheduled to take place off the coast of Ocean City this weekend, were canceled earlier this week because of rising and rough water conditions from the threat of Hurricane Matthew, according to event organizers.

The Nationals will now be held in conjunction with the OPA Worlds in Englewood Beach, Florida, on Saturday, Nov. 19. This race will be the finale of the OPA National Race Series and determine the national champion in each class.

The World Championships will be a culmination of points from the race on Saturday and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 20.
